Fed up with being single on holidays, two strangers, Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey), agree to be each other’s platonic plus-ones for the year. Operation Christmas Drop
Another treat for rom com fans comes in the form of Operation Christmas Drop. The film sees holiday cheer come to a sudden halt when cold-hearted Regina Fuller (Christine Baranski) tries to sell her hometown’s land following her father’s death. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
A Christmas musical for all the family, this movie will restore your hope this festive season. Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker) is a once-joyful toymaker who loses faith after his trusted apprentice betrays him. Jeronicus finds hope again when his kind and curious granddaughter Journey (Madalen Mills) comes into his life. Packed with songs and heart-warming moments, this movie is perfect for raising your spirits.
The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two
We’re so excited for this sequel to the highly praised original The Christmas Chronicles. Part 2 sees a now-teenage Kate (Darby Camp) run away to the North Pole following unhappiness over her mum’s new relationship. To add to the chaos a naughty elf is plotting to cancel Christmas for everyone. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn return as Mr and Mrs Claus, making the phrase ‘happy holidays’ truly a reality.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again
Another sequel to a Netflix original coming out this year is The Princess Switch: Switched Again. When Margaret’s (Vanessa Hudgens) Christmas coronation threatens to complicate her love life, her double Stacy steps in to save the day. Midnight at the Magnolia provides another unusual take on the classic Christmas rom com. Long-time friends and local radio hosts Maggie (Natalie Hall) and Jack (Evan Williams) decide to fake being a couple in the hope of getting their show syndicated, but when their family catch them practising a kiss on New Year’s Eve, they are forced to continue the charade while questioning whether they have real feelings for each other. A new tale in the vein of Scrooge comes in the form of Just Another Christmas. Jorge (Leandro Hassum) is a family man who hates the holidays and can’t stand Christmas. When he gets stuck in a time loop where it’s always Christmas, he begins to learn valuable lessons about what’s really important in life.
A New York Christmas Wedding
We love weddings, and even more so at Christmas, so A New York Christmas Wedding is our ultimate festive movie treat. As her wedding nears, Jennifer Ortiz (Nia Fairweather) is visited by an angel who shows her what could have been if she’d followed her feelings for her childhood best friend.
